Do you ever wonder if you brush your teeth right? Naturally, most people develop habits, but do you ever wonder if there is anything you could improve? In fact, there are many little things that many people don’t seem to know about tooth brushing.
For example, you probably know that you should brush twice a day—but did you know that you should start in a different section of your mouth each time. If you overlook this important step, you may miss certain areas. By switching where you start brushing, you’re more likely to reach these areas.
Similarly, did you know you won’t be able to brush properly without the right toothbrush? You should find a brush with softer bristles or you could unintentionally damage your gums or enamel. On a similar note, you should brush for two minutes at a time, but not longer. If you brush for longer than two minutes, you could irritate your gums. Also, please remember to brush in circular motions. Brushing from side to side can also damage your gums.
Finally, it is extremely important that you care for your toothbrush properly. You should replace your toothbrush at least once every four months, and your brush should be left out to air dry in an open space after each use.
